Need a quick PowerPoint to PDF conversion? Our free PPT to PDF converter reads your presentation and extracts the readable text into a simple PDF, entirely in your browser. Unlike iLovePDF or SmallPDF that upload your sensitive presentations to remote servers, our tool processes everything locally — your files never leave your device. Keep in mind this is a lightweight, text-only converter: it does not reproduce slide layouts, images, charts, or formatting. For a pixel-perfect PDF of your slides, use PowerPoint’s built-in “Save as PDF” export (File → Export) or Google Slides’ “Download as PDF”.

When to Use a Text PDF of Your PowerPoint

Share the Text Without PowerPoint

Send the readable text from a deck to colleagues, clients, or partners who may not have PowerPoint installed. The PDF opens on any device with any PDF viewer.

Quick Text Reference

Pull the wording out of a presentation into a lightweight PDF you can quote, search, or paste from — without opening the original PowerPoint file.

Lightweight Handout

Generate a simple text PDF for a quick handout. For high-fidelity printed slides with images and layout, export to PDF directly from PowerPoint instead.

Email-Friendly Format

The resulting text PDF is small and universally accepted as an email attachment. No compatibility worries for recipients.

Archive the Wording

Keep a stable, non-editable text record of what a presentation said. For a complete visual archive, use PowerPoint’s own Save as PDF export.

Combine With Other PDFs

Merge the text PDF with other documents into a single file using our Merge PDF tool.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this tool reproduce my slides exactly?

No. True PowerPoint slide rendering is not possible entirely in the browser, so this tool does not reproduce your original slide layouts, fonts, colors, or images. Instead it generates a simple cover page plus a plain-text preview of readable text extracted from the file. For a pixel-perfect PDF of your slides, use PowerPoint's built-in "Save as PDF" (File → Export) or Google Slides' "Download as PDF" instead.

Can I upload both PPT and PPTX files?

You can upload both the legacy PPT format (PowerPoint 97-2003) and the modern PPTX format (PowerPoint 2007 and later). Note that text extraction works best with PPTX files, since they store text in a readable XML format. Either way, the output is a text preview rather than a faithful copy of your slides.

What happens to images, animations, and transitions?

Images, charts, animations, and slide transitions are not included in the output. The tool only extracts readable text snippets from the presentation and places them on plain PDF pages. To keep your visuals, export to PDF directly from PowerPoint or Google Slides.

What is the maximum file size I can upload?

You can upload PowerPoint files up to 1GB each. Since all processing happens in your browser, there are no server-imposed file size limits and nothing is uploaded.

Why doesn't the output look like my presentation?

Faithful slide rendering requires the full PowerPoint layout and font engine, which is not available client-side. This tool produces a basic text-only PDF, not a visual copy of your slides. For an exact match, open your file in PowerPoint and choose File → Save As → PDF, which preserves every slide, image, and layout.

Does this work on my phone?

Yes! The tool is fully mobile-optimized and works on any device with a modern browser - iPhone, iPad, Android phones, and tablets. No app installation is needed. Just open the page, upload your file, and download the PDF.

Is this tool really free?

Yes, 100% free with no limits. There is no registration, no watermark, and no daily cap - process as many PowerPoint files as you like, entirely in your browser.
